Mortal Kombat 1’s Story Mode
In Mortal Kombat 1’s Story Mode, the game’s plot revolves around a new era created by Fire God Liu Kang, who has taken control of the Hourglass. Mortal Kombat 1
Mortal Kombat 1 is a fighting game made by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games. It’s the twelfth big part of the Mortal Kombat series, kind of like a follow-up to Mortal Kombat 11 from 2019, and it’s the second time they’ve started the series fresh like they did in Mortal Kombat from 2011. It came out on September 19, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The special edition came out a bit earlier on September 14.
If you’re playing alone, you can follow a story or play in a mode called Towers, which is like in the older games. There’s also a new mode called Invasion, where you can play online with others. It’s like a mix of fighting and board games. You’ll go through challenges on the board and win things like special looks, game money, or cool pictures. Each Invasion season lasts about six weeks and has its own look and theme.
If you want to play with others, you can do it in different ways. You can play on the same console with a friend (Local mode), or you can play online with people from all over the world (Online mode). There’s also a mode where you can set up a big tournament with special rules (Tournament mode).
Mortal Kombat 1 Storyline
After defeating the bad guys Kronika and Shang Tsung, Fire God Liu Kang uses a special hourglass to make a new universe. But he doesn’t want to rule it, so he gives that job to Geras and becomes the protector of Earthrealm. He teams up with Outworld to keep having those Mortal Kombat tournaments. They choose Raiden as Earthrealm’s champion, and he wins the tournament.
Later, Geras tells Liu Kang that Shang Tsung is back, and he’s helping Outworld’s Empress Sindel with some sneaky plans. Liu Kang sends his friends, Kenshi, Kung Lao, and Johnny, to check it out. They find Shang Tsung doing weird experiments on Tarkatans. They stop him from hurting Mileena and get into a big fight. After that, they meet more trouble in Outworld, but they manage to escape and go back to Earth to warn Liu Kang.
Liu Kang sends Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Smoke to deal with Shang Tsung, but they get caught. Sub-Zero joins Shang Tsung, and things get even worse. Then, Geras tells Liu Kang about a time problem. Damashi, a guy from another timeline, is causing trouble. Liu Kang goes to Outworld to gather evidence against Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. They fight Ermac and then confront the bad guys. Damashi reveals he’s a big, powerful guy trying to mess up time. There’s a huge battle with good and bad versions of the heroes from different timelines. Finally, Liu Kang wins, erases Damashi and his timeline, and goes back to his own to prepare for more adventures. In a surprise scene, Titan Havik from another timeline plans to start a big fight again.
