Legendary Disney songwriter Richard M. Sherman, one half of the Sherman Brothers, has died at the age of 95. Sherman and his brother, the late Robert B. Sherman, formed one of the most formidable musical teams in the history of Disney movies, writing many of the studios best known songs from their animated movies, including the Oscar-winning tracks from Mary Poppins.

Sherman died on Saturday, May 25, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverley Hills from “age-related” illness.
