Ian Machado Garry brutally blasts Jack Della Maddalena as he compares him to ugly action figure

Ian Machado Garry has humorously criticized the new UFC welterweight champion, Jack Della Maddalena, likening him to an unattractive action figure.

Earlier this month at UFC 315, Jack Della Maddalena claimed the welterweight championship by defeating Belal Muhammad in Canada via unanimous decision, ending Muhammad`s brief reign.

Welterweight contender Ian Machado Garry was in attendance at the event. He had previously weighed in as a backup fighter for the main event just weeks after securing a win against Carlos Prates at UFC Kansas City. The Irishman stated his willingness to act as a backup again to better position himself for a title shot in the welterweight division.

Ian Machado Garry`s Action Figure Comparison for Della Maddalena

Machado Garry`s wait for a title opportunity might be prolonged, as Della Maddalena`s initial title defense is anticipated to be against Islam Makhachev.

Leading up to UFC 315, Della Maddalena made comments about Machado Garry`s son, prompting Garry to label the Australian as `immature.` In a recent social media video, the 27-year-old delivered a humorous jab at the new champion by comparing Della Maddalena to an “ugly action figure.”

“I’m in a comic book shop here in England, and I am shocked, never in my life have I seen the UFC move an action figure as fast as they have, Jack Della Maddalena mate, I am so proud of you, look at that. World champ and you’ve got your f—— action figure. Good on you pal. Very proud of you, good job,” Machado Garry stated while holding up a Sloth Goonies action figure.

Jack Della Maddalena Returns to Training After Title Win

Despite potentially recovering from injuries sustained during his hard-fought five-round bout, Della Maddalena has reportedly already resumed training, anticipating his potential clash with Islam Makhachev.

Although an official date for their title fight has not been set, October is considered the most probable timeline, aligning with the UFC`s potential return to Abu Dhabi. Della Maddalena had expressed a desire to fight in his home country of Australia, but Makhachev’s manager suggested that such a location is improbable for the bout.
