Jon Jones faced charges for leaving the site of a crash just days before announcing his retirement from the UFC.
According to court documents, the UFC Hall of Famer was charged on June 17th with exiting the scene of an accident that did not result in serious injury or death.

The records indicate the alleged incident occurred in New Mexico on February 24th.
The police report details that a woman was discovered in the front passenger seat of one of the vehicles involved.
The woman, according to the report, showed “exhibiting signs of significant intoxication and lacking clothing from the waist down.”
She reportedly informed officers that Jones was driving the car and fled the location on foot before contacting the MMA star.
A police assistant noted that the person on the phone, believed to be Jones, “appeared to be heavily intoxicated and made statements implying his capacity to employ lethal force through third parties.”
It is also reported that Jones did not directly identify himself to police during the call, where he allegedly made “allusions to violence”.
In his interview with police, Jones asserted that the woman found in the vehicle was already intoxicated when she departed his home earlier that day.
He stated she contacted him after the crash and handed the phone to an officer who “immediately initiated the conversation with unprofessional language, causing him to question the validity of the individual`s assertion.”
Jones, aged 37, has a history of legal issues related to driving.
In 2015, he was charged with felony hit-and-run after colliding with two vehicles, one operated by a pregnant woman, and subsequently fleeing the scene on foot.
Jones, who has had numerous DUI offenses throughout his career, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a crime and received 18 months of probation for the incident, resulting in him being stripped of his light-heavyweight championship.
This striking development coincided with Jones` announcement that he would not compete against British fighter Tom Aspinall in a highly anticipated heavyweight title unification bout and was retiring from MMA.
He wrote on X: "Today, I’m officially announcing my retirement from the UFC.
