Luana Santos dances in the Octagon after historic submission win at UFC Vegas 106

Luana Santos celebrated her historic victory at UFC Vegas 106 with remarkable style.

The bantamweight contender faced off against Tainara Lisboa at the UFC APEX facility on Saturday evening.

Luana Santos secured her place in history by finishing the fight in the second round via a keylock/Americana submission.

This particular submission is rarely seen in MMA. It had been successfully applied only eight times inside the Octagon prior to this event, and notably, a woman had never accomplished it before UFC Vegas 106.

The 25-year-old fighter ran off with her hands raised, letting out a celebratory scream following her significant win over Lisboa.

After composing herself, Santos displayed some impressive dance moves, fully embracing her moment under the bright lights.

Fans quickly took to social media to share their reactions to Santos` historic win and her memorable celebration.

“History,” one fan simply stated. Another added, “That`s epic!”

“Was a great sub,” commented a third person.

A happy fan insisted, “Everyone that said this was a trash card are dumb.”

During her post-fight interview, Santos reflected on her historic achievement before looking ahead to her next steps.

“I came to make history,” Santos declared through a translator.

“I`m already a TikToker, and now I have the first Americana. So, thank you,” she added.

“It felt really good at 135… One more fight at 135, then I can put the hammer down and say [what I need to say],” she explained regarding her weight class.

“I heard there`s going to be a UFC in Mexico. I`d love to fight over there,” she concluded.
