Loki season two will once again be led by MCU favorite Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Of course, rather than the original version of the character that fans have followed through most of the franchise, Hiddleston is now playing an alternate, “time variant” version of the character, who now finds himself in limbo between universes.

Loki Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority,” the official synopsis for Loki season two reads. “Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.”

Hiddleston stars once again alongside Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, with the rest of the cast including the likes of Sophia Di Martino as Loki variant Sylvie, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as the Time Variance Authority judge Ravonna Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Eugene Cordero as Casey aka Hunter K-5E, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Neil Ellice as Hunter D-90, Ke Huy Quan as OB, and Jonathan Majors as Victor Timely, a variant of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania villain Kang the Conqueror.

The second season of Loki is scheduled to debut on Disney+ on October 5, 2023, as part of Phase Five of the MCU. The rest of the phase includes The Marvels, Deadpool 3, Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and Blade on the big screen, as well as Echo, Ironheart, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and Daredevil: Born Again on the small screen.
