NBA is being ‘INVESTIGATED by US Department of Justice over allegations that league worked to thwart Ice Cube’s Big3 basketball league’

The NBA is being investigated by the US Department of Justice over alleged antitrust allegations, according to a new report.

TMZ said Monday that the league is being accused of working to prevent the growth of Ice Cube’s Big3 basketball league.

The NBA is alleged of trying to prevent sponsors and other business partners from doing business with the league, and discouraging TV networks from carrying Big3 games.

The DOJ investigation launched months ago, TMZ said.

The league, which launched in 2017, is mostly comprised of retired NBA players and takes place during the NBA offseason in the summer.

However, according to TMZ, both NBA players and referees have allegedly been prevented from participating in the league.

Celtics star Jaylen Brown did participate in the league’s All-Star game this past summer.
