Based on the popular manga series Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo, Spy x Family Code: White is an animated feature film scheduled for release on December 22, 2023. The culinary spy comedy follows Loid and Anya, two youngsters who enter a cooking competition at Eden Academy. With plans to make the school principal’s favorite dish, Loid and Anya venture to the region where said dish originated, prompting a series of events that may threaten world peace.

Fans of the original manga and spin-off TV shows should rest easy knowing that the primary cast is poised to reprise their roles in the upcoming feature film. Yet, for the uninitiated, it’s time to meet the outstanding ensemble of Japanese voice actors set to star in Spy x Family Code: White and the various projects viewers may recognize their work from. 10 Takuya Eguchi is Loid Forger

Takuya Eguchi voices the leading role of Loid Forger in the upcoming anime. Loid Forger is an alias for the unnamed spy who is a master of combat, disguise, and memory. Code-named “Twilight,” Loid is tasked with spearheading Operation Strix, a secret espionage mission that requires him to enroll a young student at the Eden Academy. As such, Twilight pretends to be a psychiatrist named Loid Forger, infiltrates the academy, and attempts to successfully complete his mission.

In addition to reprising his role from the Spy x Family TV series, Eguchi has logged over 130 credits as a voice actor. Eguchi’s most notable credits include Demon Slayer, Fruits Basket, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and Ore Monogatari! Eguchi will also voice Loid Forger in the upcoming video game adaptation, Spy x Anya: Operation Memories.

9 Atsumi Tanezaki is Anya Forger

Atsumi Tanezaki voices Anya Forger. Anya is a young, innocent, naive orphan who is unwittingly recruited by Loid to participate in Operation Strix. Despite her lack of awareness of how the world works, Anya can read minds and happens to be the only one who knows about Loid’s true origin. However, Loid isn’t aware of Anya’s mind-reading skills, which the young girl uses to clandestinely assist her parents’ spy missions.

With roughly 150 credits to her name, Tanezaki is an accomplished voice actor who has worked in some of the most popular anime on record. Tanezaki notably voiced Nikki Hanada in Dr. Stone, Emporio Alnino in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Faye in various Fire Emblem video games, and Tome Kurata in Mob Psycho 100. To date, Tenezaki’s longest recurring TV role includes playing Arisa Utani in Fruits Basket, a role she played for 34 episodes.

8 Saori Hayami is Yor Forger

Saori Hayami voices Yor Forger in Spy x Family Code: White. Also known as “Thorn Princess,” Yor is a 27-year-old assassin who agrees to engage in a sham marriage with Loid. The two conspire to form a fake family as a means of completing Operation Strix. However, Yor isn’t aware that Anya is an orphan adopted by Loid and believes she is his biological daughter. By day, Yor works at Berlint City Hall to keep her role as an assassin under wraps.

With nearly 300 credits in her outstanding career to date, Hayami is an extremely busy voice actor who fans are bound to recognize from several projects. Hayami’s most famous roles include voicing Himawari Uzumaki in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Yumeko Jabami in Kakegurui, Shirayuki in the fairytale-laden anime, Snow White with Red Hair, and Shiba Miyuki in The Irregular at Magic High School.

7 Kenichiro Matsuda is Bond Forger

In addition to narrating the story, Kenichiro Matsuda voices Bon Forger in the anticipated anime. Bond is the Forger family’s pet pooch, which belongs to the French breed of Pyrenean Mountain Dog. As a result of a secret canine experiment, Bond has the ability to see the future, making him a kindred spirit to Anya. Bond is loyal to the family and most protective of Anya, yet detests Yor’s cooking and will do anything to avoid it.

Although Bond Forger represents his longest-lasting TV role, Matsuda has turned in vocal performances in Naruto: Shippuden, Black Clover, and The Seven Deadly Sins. However, it’s safe to say Matsuda’s most famous anime role includes voicing Batou in various Ghost in the Shell adaptations.

Yuko Kaida voices Sylvia Sherwood, one of many alliterative characters in the anime. Sylvia is Twilight’s (Loid) primary contact at Westalis Intelligence Services’ Eastern-Focused Division (WISE), the secretive spy organization behind Operation Strix. Also known as “Fullmetal Lady,” Sylvia directs Loid and gives him dangerous objectives to complete. Sylvia is also stern and strict, and her training has left Loid with post-traumatic stress.

With over 230 credits in her career, Kaida is best known for voicing Tsukuyo in Gintama, Isabella in The Promised Neverland, Shimei Ryomo in Ikki Tousen, and Angelica Varley in The Ancient Magus’ Bride. No stranger to video game characters as well, Kaida famously voiced Claire Renfield in multiple Resident Evil games and recently played Sonia in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

5 Ayane Sakura is Fiona Frost

Ayane Sakura voices Fiona Frost in the TV show and upcoming movie spinoff. By day, Fiona works as an undercover administrator at Berlint General Hospital. By night, Fiona is Twilight’s mentee and spy partner who bears the codename “Nightfall.” In addition to being an excellent spy, Fiona has secret romantic feelings for Twilight, which complicate their partnership as the story progresses.

Sakura has amassed over 240 credits since her career commenced in 2010. Her most famous roles include playing Gabi Braun in Attack on Titan, Orio and Kaiden in Pokémon Horizons, and Ochako and Reiko in My Hero Academia. If that wasn’t impressive enough, Sakura has also made her presence felt in such animated features as Weathering With You and Sailor Moon Cosmos.

4 Hiroyuki Yoshino is Franky Franklin

Hiroyuki Yoshino voices Franky Franklin. Franky is an informant who serves as one of Twilight’s most trusted friends and confidants. When Franky learns about Operation Strix, he assists Twilight in any way he can, which often includes looking after Anya and Bond and distracting them long enough to allow Twilight and Yor to complete their espionage missions. Franky is also a hopeless romantic who sells tobacco and invents objects in his spare time.

Like his co-stars, Yoshino brings a wealth of experience to the anime. Yoshino is best known for voicing Ginta in Inuyasha, Solf J. Kimblee in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and narrating My Hero Academia. Yoshino has also voiced Gentrhru in Hunter x Hunter and Taki Hajime in Captain Tsubasa. With so many iconic titles in his resume, fans can expect Yoshino to add a lot of entertainment value to Spy x Family Code: White.

Yuri is Yor’s younger brother who serves as a law enforcer in the State Security Service (SSS), a secret police force whose mission is to track down Twilight and bring him to justice. While this complicates his relationship with Yor, Yuri also keeps his identity as a police officer hidden by posing as a member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ono shares several crossover credits with his Spy x Family co-stars. For instance, Ono famously voiced Shikadai in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Floch Forster in Attack on Titan, multiple characters in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Ukyo in Dr. Stone, and more. However, Ono’s most lasting character includes playing Tetsuya Kuroko in the popular sports anime, Kurko’s Basketball.

2 Kazuhiro Yamaji is Henry Henderson

Kazuhiro Yamaji voices Henry Henderson. Henry is the eldest staff member and history teacher at Eden Academy. Although he was demoted to teaching first grade, Henry cares about his students and becomes Anya’s homeroom instructor and the dormitory advisor of her friend, Damian Desmond. If he isn’t busy enough, Henry also serves as the butler to Anya’s best friend, Becky Blackball.

Yamaji is also known for participating in many popular movies and TV shows. Whether voicing Seiso in the original Ghost in the Shell movie, playing Silver Fang in various One-Punch Man projects, or portraying Hitto in Dragon Ball Super, Yamaji is one of the most distinguished voice performers on record. Yamaji is also known for playing Bel in DokiDoki PreCure and Rao in the popular Sand Land franchise.

1 Natsumi Fujiwara is Damian Desmond

Natsumi Fujiwara voices Damian Desmond in Spy x Family Code: White. Damian is one of Anya’s classmates in Cecil Hall at Eden Academy. Damian is an intelligent history student who lives in the dorms on campus and spends most of his time with his best friends, Emile and Ewen. Loid attempts to gain knowledge about Damian’s father, Donovan, by convincing Anya to become close to Damian at school.

Fujiwara began his career in 2016 and has rapidly accrued over 80 big and small screen credits. In addition to voicing various characters in The Ancient Magus’ Bride, Fujiawars is known for voicing Tooru Mutsuki in the disturbing horror anime series, Tokyo Ghoul: re, Theoto and Seoto Rikka in 86, and Clops in Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts. One thing is certain about the stellar cast of Spy x Family Code: White, each main voice actor has plenty of experience bringing well-rounded animated characters to life. Fans can expect the trend to continue when the movie unwraps this Christmastime.
