University of Kashmir looking for students who can apply online to join our 4-year B.Tech. Program for the year 2024. Here are the branches available:

  1. At the Institute of Technology, Zakura Campus, Hazratbal:

    • Civil Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics & Communication Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering

  2. At North Campus, Delina, Baramulla:

    • Computer Science & Engineering

Eligibility

To apply, you need to meet these requirements:

  • Passed the Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2) exam from J&K Board of School Education or any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects, scoring at least 50% marks for Open Category and 45% marks for Reserved Categories.
  • Must have taken the JEE (Main) Examination 2024, and selection will be based on the percentile score.
  • Candidates who have appeared in the Part-II (10+2) exam can apply provisionally, but they need to fulfill all eligibility conditions, including meeting the minimum required percentage before the selection list is issued.

Important Updates

Document Verification

  • The Directorate won’t check or verify the educational or category certificates during the submission of the online application form. It’s the candidate’s responsibility to ensure they meet the required criteria.
  • However, the documents will be checked at any time during the admission process.
  • If it’s discovered that an applicant doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria or has provided false information, their selection will be rejected.
  • Candidates should be prepared to present all original and self-attested photocopies of their certificates and documents when submitting the admission form at the relevant institute or campus if they are selected.

Application Details

Candidates need to monitor the status of their application forms three days after submitting them online. If the status remains unchanged and doesn’t show “Fee Received” or “Fee Reconciliation is Pending,” the candidate should promptly reach out to the Directorate of IT & SS, University of Kashmir.

They should bring along their application form and all necessary documents within two days after the application submission deadline. After this period, the university won’t entertain any claims or requests regarding the application.

How to Apply?

Here are the steps to fill out your application form online,

Step 1: Go to either kashmiruniversity.net or kashmiruniversity.ac.in and click on the Admissions link. Read the important instructions carefully before moving on.

Step 2: Log in to the system to submit your online application form. Enter your registration number and click “Next.”

Step 3: Fill in all the required details and upload your latest passport size photograph. Then, click “Next.”

Step 4: Choose your preferred campus options. Once submitted online, you can’t change your campus preferences. Click “Next.”

Step 5: Review your information. If there are any mistakes, click the “Previous” button to correct them. Then, click “Submit.” Print out the form and note the form number for future reference.

Step 6: Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 150/- (including an IT fee of Rs. 50/-) plus a processing fee of Rs. 250/-, totaling Rs. 400/-, through online mode only.
